DON'T JUST SAY WHAT YOU MEAN -- CONTEXTUALIZE IT: A LEADERSHIP STUDY ACROSS 17 COUNTRIES.

Abstract
Using a sample of 1,776 respondents in 17 countries, we test whether managerial choices in specific leadership situations change as a consequence of the language they use. No language effects were found, suggesting that managers' behavior would not be affected by English as a corporate language.
